RECLAIMED BEAMS & SPECIALTY LUMBER
RECLAIMED BEAMS
AS IS BEAMS
These beams are left in their original condition with the outside aged surface left as is, or lightly sanded to bring out a lighter brown patina or stained darker. All hardware such as nails and bolts embedded in the wood are removed by hand.
RE-SAWN BEAMS
The outside surface of Re-Sawn Beams is removed. The beam is cut to a specific dimension, giving the lumber a cleaner look, while maintaining the characteristics of antique lumber.
FAUX/BOX BEAMS
The look of distressed solid wood beams can be created by wrapping an existing beam in reclaimed lumber or by building an entirely new Faux Box Beam box to be mounted to the ceiling, wall or post. Either way the look of a structural solid, antique beam is achieved.
HAND HEWN BEAMS
Perhaps the most rustic and historically interesting, these beams were created by hand by craftsmen using an adz hewing tool and simple hand tools to build entire structures. Our reclaimed Hand Hewns are typically salvaged from the structured frames of Midwestern 1900-era barns. A truly limited commodity, Hand Hewn Beams are sought after for the beauty of their raw, ancient, truly rustic feel.
DIMENSIONAL LUMBER
Our Dimensional Lumber comes from lumber smaller than large structural beams such as salvaged floor joists, rafters and wall siding. Reclaimed Dimensional lumber can be used in its present size with its original patina or processed further into new flooring, paneling and furniture.
SPECIALTY LUMBER
LIVE EDGE SLABS
The live edge slabs we have to offer are sawn from large urban trees which have either lived past their prime or have been removed due to community development. We have repurposed these impressive looking lengths of wood into amazing desk tops, bars, and community tables. We carry Oak, Ash, Elm and Walnut Live Edge slabs. Sizes range from 2” – 3” thick, 48” – 60” wide. And from 4’ – 16’ tall.
RECLAIMED BOWLING ALLEY LANES
Utilizing bowling alley lanes, be it tables or counter tops, desks or islands, makes a durable, beautiful product with an interesting story to tell. Our Reclaimed Lanes are available in maple and pine. The bowling lane’s first 16 feet is made up of hard maple with dots and/or arrows, followed by 43 feet of vertical grain old growth pine. Lanes are 2” thick, 42” wide and just under 60 feet long.
