J. Hoffman Lumber’s Commercial Specializations
When it comes to large-scale development and design projects, commercial professionals trust our company to carry a wide variety of reclaimed wood options by the truckload. In three areas in particular – timbers and dimensional lumber, flooring and paneling, and tabletops and mantels – the J. Hoffman Lumber name stands out as one dedicated to beauty, quality and customer service.
Timbers and Dimensional Lumber
Industry professionals visit our lumberyard regularly to see our large selection of as is and resawn timbers. With the exception of unnecessary nails and bolts, our as is timbers are kept in their original condition with the outside surface intact. Our resawn timbers, however, are rid of their outer layer and cut to specific dimensions. Resawn timbers provide commercial professionals with a ‘cleaner’ alternative to their as is counterpart while still maintaining the classic look and feel of reclaimed wood.
Our dimensional lumber, which is salvaged from floor joists, rafters and siding, comes in smaller sizes than our timbers. This lumber can be remade into eye-catching flooring, paneling or tabletops that can contribute to the rustic ambiance of a space.
Flooring and Paneling
When it comes to flooring, our lumberyard is always stocked with both antique reclaimed and sustainably harvested choices. Our antique reclaimed flooring comes in antique heart pine, antique wide pine or antique oak – each with rich variations of color and density. The sustainably harvested flooring is offered in character white oak or character walnut alternatives – each with its own unique and lustrous hues.
Similar to our timbers, customers can purchase our paneling as is or remilled, depending upon their needs.
Tabletops and Mantels
At our lumberyard, we offer commercial professionals handpicked, old world lumber that can easily be fabricated into a custom tabletop. We can also create custom tabletops in-house, ready made for offices, restaurants, retails stores and homes. For those looking to stay on top of current interior design trends, we also offer live edge slabs – tabletops cut from large diameter urban logs that have organic shapes.
As we do with all of our products, we offer custom mantelpieces in a large array of woods, shapes and sizes. Customers can opt to purchase timbers or hand hewn beams as well if they prefer to fashion their own mantels.
